IMPROVE YOUR POSTURE

Take the time to change your sitting or standing posture. If you sit at a desk for several hours during the day, consider investing in a sit-and-stand desk. An affordable and effective ergonomic desk can be found at our local Calgary IKEA.

PUMP IT UP!

Get your heart pumping by doing some squats or jumping jacks. Speed walking will also get your heart pumping. Our suggestion: go for a short speed walking trip along the Bow River in Downtown Calgary. St Patrick’s Island Park also offers some amazing scenery and a really fun playground for little and big kiddos.

SET A TIMER

Timers are great and powerful daily health reminders. Many of us forget to do simple things, such as taking a multivitamin, or drinking more water. Setting a timer on your watch or phone can remind you to stretch, go for a walk, and take your daily multivitamin.

DAILY KEGEL

Commit to your kegel exercices at least three times a day. If needed, set a timer to remind you. Start with an empty bladder. You can sit or lie down. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles and tighten for 10 seconds.
