How We Told Vicky about Her New Smile

For many Calgarians, the recent economic downturn has brought about financial and emotional challenges. Some of our patients have shared their personal stories and we thank them for their trust.

MEETING WITH VICKY

Recently, we met Vicky, a beautiful lady who was in need of an improved smile. To make her smile complete, Vicky needed partial dentures. She came to our in-house Denturist and Clinic Director, Curtis Wiebe, to help her make her dream come true. When it came to numbers, we understood her special circumstances and worked with Vicky to determine the best payment plan for her budget. With a fixed income, it would take her about a year to pay her outstanding balance in full.

VICKY’S MEDICAL SITUATION

Despite being naturally bright and beautiful, Vicky struggled with her smile for years. She was self-conscious about showing off her teeth and encountered common dietary problems one would normally experience with missing teeth. On top of this, Vicky recently found out that she will soon receive a formal diagnosis stating that she is legally blind. As you can imagine, this is a tough diagnosis for anyone to process.

Curtis and Geoff, our dedicated lab technician, worked hard to craft beautiful partial dentures for this deserving patient. Our coordinators asked Vicky to come in for a fitting session and to discuss her payment plan. After carefully considering her personal medical and financial situation, our director decided to present Vicky with a special surprise. We decided to waive her outstanding balance and gifted her with top quality partial dentures. Armed with these new partials, Vicky will be able to show off her smile with pride. These dentures will also improve her diet, dental health, and overall quality of life.
